Microsoft is now offering the Windows 10 October 2018 Update automatically to the compatible devices. The company says that the phased rollout of Windows 10 October 2018 Update has begun and more devices should start seeing it automatically on their devices.
If your PC is compatible and ready, you’ll be prompted to install the Windows 10 version 1809 soon. You may not need to click on ‘Check for dates’ button to grab the October 2018 Update. If you don’t want to upgrade to Windows 10 version 1809, this is the right time to pause the update in the Settings app.
“We are now starting our phased rollout to users via Windows Update, initially offering the update to devices we believe will have the best update experience based on our next generation machine learning model,” Microsoft explains in its support document updated earlier today.
Most of the devices are compatible with Windows 10 October 2018 Update and the new version of the OS is available for a wide variety of configurations.
Microsoft has started pushing the update out to more devices as the company is not aware of any other critical issues in Windows 10 version 1809 and the users are also not reporting any new problems.
