Oppo has launched its latest flagship Find X smartphone in India. The smartphone features a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio and it achieves this by using a mechanical slider that houses the front and rear cameras. The mechanism also houses a 3D Structured Face Recognition system for enabling Face Unlock. The Find X comes with 8GB RAM, paired with 128GB of internal storage and it’s priced at Rs 59,990 in India. It comes in two colour variants of Glacier Blue and Bordeaux Red, and will be available exclusively via Flipkart from August 3. Pre-orders for the device commence from July 25 and those who pre-register for it will receive a Rs 3,000 gift voucher for Flipkart. As mentioned earlier, the Oppo Find X is equipped with a mechanical slider that slides up when one needs to use the camera or unlock the phone. The company calls it the Stealth Camera Mechanism and says that the setup comes up and closes in 0.5 seconds. The 3D Structured Face Recognition system is also placed here, which uses the dot projector, flood illuminator, an infrared camera and a ranging sensor for ‘securely’ unlocking the device. Oppo says that it has conducted over 300,000 tests on the Stealth Camera mechanism to ensure its longevity. Coming to the specifications, the Find X is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 8GB RAM. It features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device comes with a 128GB of internal storage and is backed by a 3730mAh battery, which supports the company’s VOOC fast wired charging technology. The Find X is equipped with a 16MP + 20MP dual-rear camera setup with f/2.0 aperture. The main camera comes with a rapid image capture sensor and OIS support. On the front is a 25MP sensor. The smartphone runs on ColourOS 5.1,which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. There is also Android P Beta support on the device. Oppo says that the Lamborghini Edition of the Find X will be launched in India soon. It comes with more in-built storage of 256GB, an engraved Lamborghini logo on the rear and more. It is backed by a 3,400mAh battery that also supports VOOC and the company claims that it charges from 0 to 100 percent in 35 minutes.from Latest Technology News https://ift.tt/2L3r1SU
